While in college, Miss Alyssa was a member of the New York Jets Flight Crew.

Alyssa Patrone (born August 20, 1989) is an American dance teacher at Anita's Studio of Dance and Theatre Arts in East Northport, New York. She teaches tap, jazz and combo classes at Anita's Studio of Dance.

Career[]

Alyssa has been a member of the faculty at Anita’s Studio of Dance and Theater Arts for over 10 years. She began dancing with Miss Anita at the age of only 2 1/2. Alyssa has been trained in many areas of dance such as jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and contemporary. In high school she was a member of the studio’s National Competition team, a senior captain of her high school dance team, the Northport Tigerettes, and also assisted the coaches of East Northport Middle School Kickline from 2004-2006. Alyssa began her professional career as a member of the New York Jet‘s Flight Crew dance team for the 2008 season. She also danced for the Brooklyn Cyclones as a member of the Beach Bums in the summer of 2009. Since she began teaching for the studio’s competition team Alyssa’s pieces have consistently placed among the Top 10 and have earned special awards for Entertainment and Choreography. Most recently “Someone in the Crowd”, a piece choreographed by both Miss Anita and Miss Alyssa, won the title of National Champions during the Showdown at the 2018 National Competition in Foxwoods, Connecticut. She loves working with all of the dancers here at Anita’s and is grateful to be able to share her love of dance with her students.

Additionally, Alyssa graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University with a bachelors degree in history and a minor in public relations in May of 2011. She has since worked full time at the American Cancer Society focusing in community events such as Relay For Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Daffodil Days. Alyssa has two sons, Ryder & Hudson, who also love being a part of the studio’s dance family.
